Earth Balance Buttery Spread Review

If you remember from my post Preparing to be Vegan, I had mentioned that Earth Balance was going to give me a great start to my Vegan Diet. Well in the mail a few days ago Earth Balance sent me six coupons for free items of their products. Very cool. So this morning I went down to Something Better Natural Foods, my local health food store. This was a great little store that sold all sorts of organic foods. The store was nice and organized, and easy for me to find the Earth Balance I was looking for. The employee at the time was even very helpful when it was having trouble finding some of the items I was looking for. I am always so disorganized when I go into a new place.

Anyway, one of the items that I had purchased was Earth Balance’s Buttery Spread. Not having a great amount of experience with vegan foods, I had my reserves. When I had got home I sliced off a piece of bread, and put on the spread. Much to my surprise, I could not tell the difference. The taste with Earth Balance butter and Country Crock were the same. The taste was just as good as real home-made butter too.  The butter I have found melts just like regular butter, and went great with my rice for dinner.
The calories are a little higher than Country Crock. By 30 to be exact. Honestly though, people should not be using that much butter anyway. After all it is basically all fat. It is the Quality of ingredients that makes the difference though. I am very happy with my healthier alternative. A very cool thing about Earth Balance, is that they use no GMO products. Earth Balance is worth checking out. So go to your local Health food store, and see if they carry Earth Balance. Chances are that they probably do.
